Baccarat Hotel
Baccarat Hotel.

This year marks the 250th anniversary of the French crystal company Baccarat, and what better way to celebrate in style than by opening its first hotel in New York City? Nestled in prime real estate on 53rd Street and Fifth Avenue, across from the Museum of Modern Art, Baccarat Hotel & Residences New York will open in late-2014 and will be set in a 50-story glass tower featuring 114 guestrooms, including 26 suites. Not only is the location perfect for your fashion savvy clients—Tiffany & Co. and Cartier are a short jaunt away—its design is just as luxurious, starting with a grand entrance with light reflecting from 12,000 Baccarat glass pieces the moment guests step inside the hotel.

The hotel’s owners also bought a charming little beauty next door, formerly known as the Versace Mansion. Hotel Zetta
Hotel Zetta.

Last February, Viceroy Hotel Group debuted its boutique Hotel Zetta in San Francisco’s SoMa district. The 116-room hotel opened in the former Hotel Milano on the building’s 100th anniversary, playfully blending the century of history into the hotel’s modern design. Even the property’s recent addition, lobby bar S&R Lounge—which stands for salvage and rescue—serves as a trendy meeting point with both its cocktail program and look paying homage to the hotel’s classical design. The Cavalier, a British brasserie, continues Hotel Zetta’s theme of Old World elegance. Rates from $279 per night.
