Since 1977 Spa Eastman Health & Wellness Retreat in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada has offered all-inclusive packages to an international clientele. Located on a 323-acre estate less than a 90-minute drive from Montreal, the site acts as a vacation village retreat and offers an inspirational view of Mount Orford. Its seven lodging pavilions house a total of 44 rooms, nine miles of wooded walking trails, gardens, and postcard-perfect landscapes, make guests feel welcome and comfortable.

Offering colorful, delicious and energizing menus, designed to please even the most sophisticated palate, Spa Eastman’s Tonique Cuisine is both gluten-free and dairy-free, while being low in carbohydrates and high in fat. The restaurant also offers a selection of mainly organic wines, made from grapes grown without any chemical additives.
Additionally, state-of-the-art thermotherapy installations (hammam, saunas, nordic baths, pools) complete a wide selection hydrotherapy options.
New Health & Safety Protocols and Procedures
The retreat has taken steps to adopt stricter health measures to give guests a greater sense of peace of mind during their stay. A number of measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of both guests and employees. For instance, the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting surfaces in common areas has been increased, and all guestrooms and spa treatment rooms and equipment are being thoroughly disinfected between clients. Therapists are wearing masks and continue to adhere to the new health guidelines. Masks are also mandatory for all guests, who should bring their own masks with them.

New Programs Offered in a Covid-19 World
A newly developed Working from Home package (unavailable for the summer months but returning this fall) includes the following:
- One guestroom in the main lodge with WiFi included
- Three healthy meals per day
- Unlimited access to the thermal experience
- Access to the onsite gym and 9 miles of scenic trails
- Parking (with connection for electric cars available)
During Covid, Spa Eastman also launched an online shop offering products such as books and beauty products.
Activities & Programs Offered
At Spa Eastman Health & Wellness Retreat clients can choose between five different all-inclusive packages, all including accommodation, healthy meals, Nordic baths, wellness-focused activities and workshops, plus access to the gym and hiking trails. The retreat’s signature package is the Health Immersion Package. According to general manager, Jocelyna Dubuc, “it is the most representative package of our mission and commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle, and helping guests improve their overall health, and obtain lasting results.”
Types of Clients the Property Caters To
The majority of clientele are women, 45-55 years, mostly from Canada and booking between three and five days. Dubuc says that the retreat is also welcoming more men in the same range of age as women. “Some couples,” she says, “also come for a romantic getaway. “

Customizable Programs
All programs are personalized according to clients’ objectives. Treatments and services—including spa treatments, a naturopathy consultation, a private consultation with a yoga teacher or other session leaders—can also be incorporated into a customized program. “Everything here is optimized so that each customer has a unique experience,” says Dubuc. “We adopt ourselves to each client and not the other way around.”
