A New Chapter for Goway

Goway held an industry event in Toronto on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, to mark its recent rebranding and innovation efforts. The event featured notable figures from the travel industry, showcasing its commitment to evolving its services and offerings.

The leadership team, joined by over 100 guests from the travel industry, unveiled “The New Goway” on the rooftop of the TIFF Lightbox, home to North America’s largest film festival, while in full view of the iconic CN Tower.

“It was a privilege to welcome and celebrate the New Goway with such amazing guests from the travel industry,” said Craig Canvin, Goway’s Senior Vice President. “These partners have been a key part of Goway’s history and success, and our future together has never been more exciting.”

The New Goway Revealed

The event marked the conclusion of a multi-year process to launch the rebrand, highlighting various innovations in industry, sales and marketing that the company has implemented over the past year.

The New Goway has introduced significant changes throughout the organization, leading to developments that enhance staff engagement, increased rewards and incentives for travel advisors and a new reservation system—all are expected to improve efficiency and innovation for the tour operator

New features include:

  • New brand and website
  • New reservations system and technology
  • Growing team across multiple countries
  • Enhanced rewards program and incentives for travel advisors
  • Expanded trade education program, including GowayPro Travel Academy and GowayPro Travel Tales podcast
  • Product innovation, including Odysseys by Goway, new trips to The Nordics, India and Vietnam, and an upcoming wellness product line
  • Expansion of Goway GroupsOnly, with the team doubling in size and 600 groups traveling this year alone

“Based on feedback from the travel community, we have listened and have invested in three key areas: technology, education and loyalty. We have deployed a brand new reservation system that brings all of the booking and payment processes online. This new system not only offers a better experience for our customers and guests but also streamlines our processes to ensure faster response time for our travel advisors,” said Renee Stanton–Defaria, Management, Senior Management Team, at last week’s event.

  • New portal for travel advisors
  • Roadshows across the U.S. and Canada
  • 5 free FAMs to 5 different destinations
  • The Goway Micro Film Festival, featuring 55-second travel videos from travelers from around the world to be screened in competition in events in Toronto and Los Angeles

“The New Goway is here,” said Mitchell Fawcett, VP Marketing. “We’re so proud of this new chapter and all the innovation that has led to it.”

Several senior members of the leadership team were at the event to offer remarks and host their industry partners. The event was also the first public introduction of Sean Hebert, its new VP The Americas.
