The Florida Keys’ iconic Cheeca Lodge & Spa has just debuted 43 luxury oceanfront suites, located in the northernmost building at the resort, as well as the largest ballroom in the Upper Keys, the 10,000-sq.-ft. Islamorada Ballroom.

Offering king and double queen accommodations, the new suites are now the highest in luxury experiences for Cheeca’s guests. Each suite features more than 685 sq. ft. of space with unobstructed Atlantic Ocean views. Each suite also boasts floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to an expansive private lanai with open-air spa tubs, a signature of the resort’s lodge suites.

Design elements continue the nature-inspired narrative that begins from the moment guests arrive at the resort. There’s a warm, neutral palate of soft taupe and whites with infusions of coral, light blues and teals, and natural and organic textures that complement each suite’s central focus point, the Atlantic Ocean.

Cheeca Lodge Debuts New Ballroom

Made for a dream wedding, the Islamorada Ballroom sits just north of the resort’s main lodge. It boasts wide-open spaces, steps away from the ocean, with ceiling heights of 17.5 ft. It accommodates up to 1,000 guests for receptions and 788 for banquet-style dinners, and retractable walls allow for three breakout rooms for smaller events and functions. Surrounding the center is a wrap-around foyer area, where views of the Atlantic Ocean provide a lovely backdrop.

“This is a monumental moment in the evolution of Cheeca Lodge & Spa,” said Paul Scott, GM of Cheeca Lodge & Spa, in a press release statement. “With our new meetings and event center and oceanfront suites, we are very excited to welcome an entire new generation of travelers, from those celebrating life’s most memorable milestones to those simply seeking a new and refreshed tropical vacation experience. Our guests, both new and returning, are in for a luxurious getaway like nothing they have experienced before.”
