If you have a chance to visit Dolly Parton’s Dollywood this holiday season, don’t pass it up: Not only does the park put on a show with its Santa’s Village, 12-ft trees and over 6 million lights, and offer holiday live entertainment shows and multiple dining venues but this year they’ve also added the Joyful holiday light drone show. The Smoky Mountain Christmas program is on through Jan. 6, 2024. Add to this the recent grand opening of 302-guestroom Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort and a significant reinvestment into the 307-guestroom Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa.
And there’s plenty to look forward to for 2024.
The Dollywood 2024 Calendar
This coming year, fans can expect a brand-new attraction, the Dolly Parton Experience, which will come online in May 2024. Of note is the fact the park will be open even more days in 2024, opening to season pass holders on March 8, the earliest the park has ever opened its doors. The Dolly Parton Experience is an interactive attraction that takes guests from Locust Ridge to stages worldwide and is housed across several buildings, making it three times the size of the former Chasing Rainbows Museum. But that isn’t the only news: Also in the spring, the park will debut Lightning Rod with a new, high-speed chain lift that will make for an even better ride.
Clients who are fans of Dollywood’s festivals will be happy to know the I Will Always Love You Music Festival is set to return with new entertainment, along with Paradise Road, a new show called Trio, and an interactive singalong show with Dolly’s biggest hits. The festival takes place March 9 – April 14 and will kick off the season that includes Dollywood’s Flower & Food Festival, the Smoky Mountain Summer Celebration, the Gazillion Bubble Show, the Harvest Festival and then the return of the Smoky Mountain Christmas experience.
Elsewhere, a recent release announced land had been acquired at Pier Park in Panama City Beach for a new venue to host Dolly’s Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show. Expected opening date is Spring 2025.
