Disney Cruise Line has updated its sailing protocols as of Nov. 17 to include that all guests ages 5 and over will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to sailing. The new mandate will take effect for sailings on or after Jan. 13, 2022.

Guests who are not vaccine-eligible because of age (those who are under 5) must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result, taken between 3 days and 24 hours before their sailing date. The test should be a NAAT test, rapid PCR test or lab-based PCR test. Rapid antigen tests are not accepted. This will be the new requirement for all U.S. and international guests.

For sailings taking place prior to Jan. 13, guests ages 5 through 11 may complete this testing requirement in lieu of being fully vaccinated.

“As we set sail again, the health and safety of our guests, Cast Members and crew members is a top priority. Our focus remains on operating our ships in a responsible way that continues to create magic for all on board,” states Disney on it’s Disney Cruise Line website.

Disney is also offering guests a little extra peace of mind when booking their cruise, allowing for options for guests to change or cancel their booking with flexibility.
