Belmond’s lovely French boat collection, Les Bateaux Belmond, is gearing up to welcome a new flower to its bouquet: in May 2023, the Coquelicot, A Belmond Boat, Champagne, named after the delicate red poppy, will be taking your clients through this french region in partnership with—what else—one of the world’s oldest names in champagne, Maison Ruinart.
Belmond Allows Clients to Float Into a World of Ageless French Refinement
With only beautifully-appointed three cabins, your clients can toast the countryside as they float by with their most intimate friends and family in typical Belmond fashion. Coquelicot, A Belmond Boat is available for week-long private charters starting from approximately $79,500.
The cabins are double with marble ensuite bathrooms and an indoor lounge with a champagne bar—just let them know your clients’ preferred labels, and they will find them on arrival. The top deck is where they’ll spend most of their time, and they’ll feel like they’re in a private French estate; think potted local herbs, wildflowers, and an outdoor kitchen that will produce a seasonal menu with local ingredients.
As part of the experience, guests of the river barge will have exclusive access to the first established House of Champagne with a private tasting lunch by Chef In Residence Valérie Radou and guided tours of the historic Taissy vineyard, a pioneer in viti-forestry restoration. Back on board, they will be treated to a first: a private five-course tasting lunch by Maison Ruinart’s Chef In Residence Valérie Radou and Coquelicot Head Chef.
You can personalize your client’s experience by consulting the line’s Personal Guest Experience Executives to create customized itineraries. Suggestions can include an art-focused tour of Champagne, a historic castle tour, an active adventure via bicycle, or a series of epicurean visits to Europe’s most exclusive wine producers—all at their own pace. The all-inclusive escapes on the Coquelicot, A Belmond Boat include table d’hóte meals, complimentary beverages, all planned excursions escorted by a private guide and transfer from Paris to the barge. Helicopter transfers from Paris are also available upon request.
