Abercrombie & Kent has relaunched its Sanctuary Retreats portfolio under the new banner of A&K Sanctuary. This rebranding focuses on elevating the guest experience across its collection of safari lodges, camps and riverboats.
Reimagined Luxury Travel
The A&K Sanctuary portfolio includes destinations in Africa, showcasing tours that feature elements of adventure, comfort and cultural immersion. The brand is investing in key properties, such as the complete rebuilds of Baines’ Lodge in Botswana’s Okavango Delta and Gorilla Forest Lodge in Uganda’s Bwindi National Park—home to the largest population of mountain gorillas. These revamped lodges are set to reopen in mid-2025.
In early 2026, the brand will debut Kitirua Plains Lodge in Kenya’s Amboseli National Park, renowned for its views of Mount Kilimanjaro. A&K Sanctuary will also introduce Pure Amazon, a boutique riverboat set to launch in the summer of 2025. The vessel will offer an intimate journey through the Amazon in Peru.
“A&K Sanctuary represents more than a name change—it’s a promise to elevate the guest experience and expand our global portfolio,” says Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group. “This relaunch combines our commitment to excellence with bold new developments, offering travelers the ultimate in luxury and authenticity.”
Each property in the A&K Sanctuary portfolio has been redesigned to emphasize its unique character while adhering to the brand’s commitment to travelers. Collaborating with Luxury Frontiers, the lodges incorporate sustainable and innovative designs. In addition, the rebranding effort introduces distinct identities for each property, shown in updated logos, signage and in-room details.
