Viking has released its latest itineraries that will take your clients from the Mediterranean coastline to the heart of France to the vast reaches of the Arctic. There are also plans to unveil new sister ships, adding to the sailing opportunities.
Good News From Viking River Cruises
New river itineraries include the special 12-day Paris & D-Day 80th Anniversary voyage, created to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Operation Overlord and the historic battles of Normandy. It will take clients from London to Paris, with departure dates from March through November 2024. A similar voyage, London, Paris & D-Day, is being offered starting in 2025. The new 15-day Lyon, Provence & the Rhineland itinerary begins in March and combines a sail on the Rhine River with one in Southern France.
There are several new ships on the horizon. Southeast Asia will welcome the new Viking Tonle in 2025, designed for the Mekong River, that will sail the 15-day Magnificent Mekong itinerary. Two ships for the Nile River, Viking Hathor and Viking Sobek, will be delivered in 2024 and 2025, respectively. This will bring the total number of ships on the Nile to six. Also, in 2025, the brand will welcome a new Viking Longship on the Seine River, an addition to the current fleet of four.
Ocean Voyages Have New Itineraries, Ships
The brand’s 15-day Iconic Iceland, Greenland & Canada itinerary begins in 2024; later that year, it will debut the Malta, Morocco & the Mediterranean voyage that departs Barcelona and visits seven countries in 16 days. In 2025, it will unveil the Viking World Voyage I, which will take 180 days to span the globe. Also that year, the Grand Australia Circumnavigation itinerary kicks off its 32-day adventure. The brand will also welcome a new vessel to the Ocean fleet, the Viking Vela, in late 2024.
News from the Expedition Files
Viking launched its Longitudinal World Cruise collection this year, with expedition ships sailing between Antarctica and the Great Lakes. For 2024/2025, they added two new itineraries, Longitudinal World Cruise IV and Longitudinal World Cruise V.
There are three new summer season expedition voyages in the Arctic ready to launch in July 2025; they range from 13 to 27 days and explore the polar north in Canada and Greenland. Viking has also planned new itineraries for Antarctica for the 2025 season, including the 87-day From the Arctic to Antarctica departing from Nuuk, Greenland, to Ushuaia, Argentina.
