Quito & Galapagos FAM

Advisors interested in blending cultural immersion with wildlife adventure can now book an 8-day FAM journey through Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, departing December 8, 2025, with Tara Tours.

The tour begins in the capital city of Quito, with visits to nearby Otavalo—home to South America’s most famous craft market—and the Andean communities of Peguche and Karanki Magdalena.

Travel advisors will experience traditional weaving, explore indigenous music and leather crafts and stay in a mountain community nestled on the slopes of the Imbabura Volcano.  From Quito, the group flies to San Cristobal Island in the Galapagos to embark on a 4-night cruise aboard the M/V Galapagos Legend. The cruise features daily excursions to world-renowned sites including Española, Floreana and Santa Cruz Islands.

Highlights include close encounters with sea lions, giant tortoises, blue-footed boobies, frigatebirds and the famed waved albatross. Snorkel among sea turtles and reef sharks, hike lava trails and visit the Charles Darwin Research Station.

The itinerary wraps up with a scenic dinghy ride at Carrion Point before flying back to Quito for onward connections.
