Up Norway has launched three small-group itineraries for 2026 and 2027, responding to a 14 percent year-over-year increase in small-group bookings reported by Tripadvisor. The operator, which specializes in sustainable luxury travel in Scandinavia, has capped group sizes at 10 to 14 participants to support deeper cultural engagement and reduce environmental impact.
Intimate Norway
The Women, Blazing Trails expedition runs Sept. 30-Oct. 7, 2026, following a sold-out March 2026 departure. Limited to 14 women, the 7-day program is led by Randi Skaug, the first Norwegian woman to summit Everest and complete the Seven Summits, and Hege Enge Dekkerhus, founder of Norwegian Wild. The itinerary begins on Naustholmen, an islet in the Steigen archipelago, where participants learn fire-building, foraging, slow cooking and wilderness safety. After an overnight voyage aboard Hurtigruten’s MS Vesteralen, the group continues to Senja, Norway’s second-largest island above the Arctic Circle, for kayaking, walks through Anderdalen National Park, husky experiences and Nordic wellness activities including sauna and outdoor dining. Registration closes April 1.
The Late Summer Road Trip in Southwestern Norway with Norway House departs Sept. 11-20, 2026, for 10 adults. The 10-day journey covers Stavanger, the Setesdal Valley and Lindesnes. Activities include a private heritage walk in Stavanger, a Lysefjord cruise to view Pulpit Rock and an eco-dome stay at Brokkestoeylen with foraging, canoeing and Nordic wellness practices. Dining experiences feature MICHELIN-starred Hermetikken and Under, the world’s largest underwater restaurant, as well as farm visits focused on seasonal ingredients and preservation techniques.
The Finn and Sami Heritage Journey with Norway House runs Feb. 5-13, 2027, for 10 adults. The 9-day winter program explores Forest Finn communities in Finnskogen and Sami culture in Alta and Karasjok. Experiences include museum visits, wilderness walks, sauna rituals at Finnskogtoppen wellness retreat, Northern Lights safaris, dog sledding and reindeer herding with Sami guides. Accommodations include Engholm Husky Lodge and ONGA Boutique Lodge.
All three itineraries include Up Norway’s digital guide, travel services and accommodations selected for sustainability and local ownership.
