Club Med Columbus is officially reopening on Oct. 22 after two years of reworking and refreshing after the pandemic. When Christoper Columbus first set foot in The Bahamas, he did it on San Salvador Island. Fortunately for your clients, it’s evolved since then—but it’s still wonderfully remote and lacking in the large numbers of tourists that visit other Caribbean islands.

Club Med Columbus is Your Client’s Luxurious Caribbean Island Getaway

Perfect for multi-gen, couples and large groups, Club Med Columbus has newly refreshed two-story bungalows, experiences and dining concepts. La Pinta by the beach offers all-day dining and a new Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with a Bahamian twist, while the main restaurant, Christopher’s, is in the heart of the resort and will offer a variety of international food options, including new plant-based menu items for the vegans on your list.

Wellness is also on the menu: Club Med’s new Wellness Fusion program includes comprehensive yoga programs, moonlight massages and four holistic treatments at the Club Med Spa by Sothys. Adventure isn’t left behind, a must on this island with endless pristine beaches. Sailing, waterskiing and kayaking, of course, but also weekly beach sunset rituals, flyboarding and tennis on brand-new courts. Quad tours are also on tap, taking your clients to find hidden beaches and caves with stops along the way to eat and mingle with local residents.

This is a diver’s paradise—think 35+ sites—so the resort has zeroed in on new experiences like sunset and night dives, private boat rides for group dives, PADI certification courses and new snorkeling experiences with Only Blue Diving for an up close and personal look at the coral and sea creatures.
