Here’s a quick roundup of AMResorts openings in the Caribbean and Mexico.
2019
This past summer saw the opening of the family-friendly Now Emerald Cancun, with 427 rooms, and in October, the 360-room, family-friendly Sunscape Akumal Beach Resort & Spa opened its doors in Riviera Maya’s Akumal region, near Tulum and Coba.
One of the most exciting news for AMResorts is the opening of this month of the family-friendly Dreams Resort & Spa in Acapulco, located on the city’s famed bay. It features four bars, seven restaurants, a kids’ club, and 605 rooms.
And next month (Dec. 15) will see the debut of the 197-room Dreams Curacao Resort, Spa and Casino. Meanwhile, Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun and Now Larimar Punta Cana were both renovated recently.
2020
Next year will see the debut of the 553-room Now Natura Riviera Cancun on Jan. 31. It will feature, among other amenities, a lazy river and exotic fish ponds. The 232-room Dreams Vista Cancun will open its doors on Feb. 1, as will the eagerly awaited, adults-only, 258-room, all-inclusive Secrets St. Martin Resort & Spa. Also coming in February is the 503-room Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, with a casino and 2-bedroom suites.
