Scenic Group revealed significant updates and expansions across its Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Cruises brands at Seatrade Cruise Global, with the new Emerald Kaia, a next-generation luxury ocean yacht, as the headliner. The brand is also celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Accommodating 128 guests, the new Emerald Kaia will have an expanded Sky Deck with a new Sky Lounge, larger cabins and suites, enhanced dining venues and reimagined wellness facilities. The marina now includes an interior lounge, additional water sports offerings and access to swim from an open-air gym.
“Emerald Kaia, with its significant design and amenity enhancements, marks a pivotal expansion for our fleet. It builds on the strengths of Emerald Sakara and Emerald Azzurra, allowing us to offer unmatched superyacht experiences along the world’s most captivating coastlines,” said Glen Moroney, Chairman and Founder of Scenic Group, in a press statement.
Emerald Kaia will begin sailing in April 2026, with bookings available from April 10.
Scenic Group’s Design Updates
Scenic Group also announced a comprehensive design refresh for 18 of its luxury river cruise ships across Central Europe and France. The updates focus on the main deck areas, introducing reimagined layouts, contemporary furnishings and versatile spaces that easily transition from day to night. These enhancements were designed to mirror the sophisticated design elements and amenities found on the group’s ocean-going vessels.
“The design update of our river fleet integrates the elegance and innovative features of our ultra-luxury and luxury ocean yachts into our river cruise ships, elevating and enhancing the guest experience onboard,” said Karen Moroney, Director of Project Design, in a press statement. “It’s a testament to our dedication not just to luxury, but to leading the way in sustainable and thoughtful design within the industry.”
Scenic Group’s ultra-luxury Discovery Yachts, Scenic Eclipse and Scenic Eclipse II, are also slated for upgrades. Scenic Eclipse will undergo a dry dock refurbishment in April, incorporating innovations introduced on its sister ship. Meanwhile, Scenic Eclipse II will be outfitted with a purpose-built submersible and cutting-edge SEABOBs, upgrading your client’s exploration possibilities.
