Windstar Cruises, Silversea Cruises, and Seabourn have recently released more details of new and upcoming cruise itineraries set to sail in summer 2019 through 2021. From culinary-themed voyages to exploring the wilderness of Alaska, here’s what you need to know to book your cruise-loving clients on their next vacation.
Exploring “The Great Land”
Seabourn is gearing up to embark on its 2019 season in Alaska and British Columbia—also known as “The Great Land”—with 10 departures scheduled aboard the Seabourn Sojourn. The season runs from June to October offering a selection of 11-, 12- and 14-day Ultimate Alaska cruises with itineraries including wilderness destinations such as Harriman Fjord and College Fjord; marquee ports from Ketchikan and Juneau; and rarely visited locations such as the First Nation villages of Alert Bay and Klemtu, a town of fewer than 500 belonging to the Kitasoo Native Band, where guests will be treated to an exclusive cultural experience within the Inside Passage of British Columbia. Every cruise of Seabourn’s 2019 season in Alaska and British Columbia will include complimentary Seabourn all-weather jackets; onboard guest speakers from the Seabourn Conversations program; opportunities for frequent wildlife sightings from the ship and shore; and a “Caviar on the Ice” deck party and other special deck events.
Adventurous guests can complement their cruising experience with Ventures by Seabourn shore excursions that allow them to explore select destinations through hiking and kayaking, or while aboard a Zodiac or catamaran. Each optional excursion exposes guests to up-close exploration of natural and/or cultural sites, with guidance, insight and lectures from the line’s expedition team staffed by naturalists, marine biologists, wildlife researchers, photographers, videographers, guides and more. Travelers who want to delve deeper and explore Alaska and British Columbia with a pre- or post-cruise land journey, can opt for the 5-day Denali Experience extension or the 7-day UNESCO Banff National Park & the Rocky Mountaineer itinerary.
