Carnival Cruise Line has completed a major enhancement project at RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, unveiling expanded beachfront space, new dining and beverage venues, upgraded guest amenities and a new pier that will allow more ships—including the line’s Excel-class vessels.
Among the most visible changes is an expanded stretch of white-sand beach, complemented by loungers and umbrellas. Guests looking for upgraded comfort can also reserve new cabanas and daybeds throughout the destination.
“RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay’s natural beauty has always made it a favorite for our guests, and with the new pier, more ships can now easily access this incredible destination,” said Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line, in a press statement. “We’re excited that more guests than ever will be able to experience the stunning beachfront and turquoise waters.”

To improve mobility around the island, Carnival has launched a new tram service connecting key areas of the destination. Guests who prefer to explore on foot can take advantage of the newly developed walking route named Papaya Pathway.
Additional enhancements are underway on the island’s south side, where refreshed design elements and upgraded food-and-beverage offerings are being introduced. Carnival noted that guests will continue to have access to the destination’s popular shore excursions and recreational activities.
