Windstar Cruises is offering a first glimpse of its newest ship, the Star Seeker, a 224-guest, small-cruise vessel scheduled to debut in January 2026.
Currently under construction in Portugal, the Star Seeker’s maiden voyage will be a transatlantic sailing from Malaga, Spain, to Miami, Florida. After its christening in Miami, Star Seeker will sail its first voyage in the Caribbean before embarking on additional voyages to Alaska and Japan. Star Seeker’s itineraries will be officially announced in early September 2025. Windstar will debut another new sister ship, Star Explorer, in December 2026.
Sleek Suite Accommodations
The Star Seeker will have 112 spacious suites—all but ten featuring a private veranda or floor-to-ceiling infinity windows. The new ship also boasts two Horizon Owner’s Suites, a new suite category for the line that includes wrap-around balconies and allows guests to combine the suite with adjacent rooms for more space. The Star Seeker also features 72 suites with large verandas and 30 new suites with floor-to-ceiling windows that can be opened halfway.
“Guests aboard Star Seeker will experience a sense of tranquility in their suites; they are designed to be an oasis for relaxation,” said Stijn Creupelandt, Vice President of Hotel Operations at Windstar Cruises, in a press statement. “We used light wood and a soothing color palette of light blues, greens and natural browns—elements that reflect our Star Class style. In the ship’s public spaces and restaurants, you’ll find more vibrant hues inspired by sunrises and sunsets, including warm yellows, golds and oranges—ensuring a harmonious blend of elegance and comfort throughout the ship.”
Star Seeker’s 10 Oceanview Suites feature a walk-in mosaic glass shower and a queen bed that can be converted into two twin beds. All suites include a fully stocked mini-bar and refrigerator, TV, safe, fresh fruit, robe and slippers. The four highest suite categories—Horizon, Star, Classic and Deluxe—offer additional amenities such as an Illy espresso machine, canapes service and fresh flowers. The ship also boasts five dining options, a full-service spa, a fitness facility and a Watersports Platform, allowing guests access the ocean directly from the ship.
