Tauck’s announcement of new river and small ship ocean cruises promises a year rich with new travel opportunities, including unique itineraries and expanded capacity on the Seine. Plus, the tour operator has announced educational initiatives for travel advisors with its first-ever Tauck River Academy.

For its small ship ocean cruising segment, Tauck is introducing two new itineraries. The 14-day Aegean Voyage: Istanbul to Athens features an immersive 3-night stay in Istanbul and a sailing aboard Windstar Cruises’ Star Legend that cruises to pivotal Aegean locales like Mykonos and Santorini and ends with a 2-night stay in Athens at the Grande Bretagne Hotel along with guided Tauck sightseeing in the city. Highlights include an exclusive dinner in Ephesus and a guided tour of the Acropolis. Tauck will operate six departures in 2025, in April, September and October. The other new itinerary, Rome, the Amalfi Coast & Sicily, spans 12 days and begins with a stay in Rome, followed by a cruise on board a Ponant Explorer class ship (either Le Dumont d’Urville or Le Bougainville) visiting renowned Italian and Maltese coastal destinations. Key experiences include visits to historic palaces and temples, concluding with an exclusive dinner in Valletta. Tauck will operate six departures in May, June, September and October of 2025. Included in the price of both new cruises are all shore excursions, gratuities to Tauck Directors, ship staff and local guides, onboard alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (including house wines and spirits), airport transfers, luggage handling and more.

In river cruising, Tauck will introduce the 14-day Romantic Capitals: Paris to Prague, which begins with a stay in Prague at the Fairmont Golden Prague Hotel and includes a river cruise from Regensburg to Trier along the upper Danube, Main-Danube Canal, Main, Rhine and Moselle, concluding in Paris with a 2-night stay at L’Hotel du Collectionneur. Special events include a private dinner at Schlosshotel Kronberg, a private boating excursion on the Seine and a visit to the legendary Nürburgring race track. Tauck will offer 10 departures from April through October of next year with sailings aboard its ms Savor and ms Joy riverboats.

2025 will also see the ms Esprit riverboat redeployed to the Seine, effectively doubling Tauck’s capacity there, a strategic move following the Summer Olympic Games in Paris.

Tauck Expands Commitment to Travel Advisors

Additionally, Tauck’s commitment to travel advisor education will be highlighted by its first-ever Tauck River Academy training event, which will take place during the company’s Oct. 6, 2025 sailing of its 10-day Three Rivers: Danube, Main & Rhine itinerary aboard its ms Joy riverboat. Tauck has hosted an ongoing series of Tauck Academy events promoting the company’s full product portfolio, and the October gathering will be the first event focused exclusively on Tauck’s river cruising product.

As at past Tauck Academies, attendees will participate in a variety of educational modules combined with numerous opportunities to experience some of the unique activities and cultural discoveries that Tauck builds into its journeys. Graduates will earn the distinction of being Tauck-certified advisors and enjoy access to a range of unique benefits. Additional River Academies are planned for future dates.
