The program includes on-resort watch parties for every match, game-day menus highlighting the flavors of different competing nations and cocktail specials inspired by the host countries—Canada, the United States and Mexico. Zero-proof drinks are also part of the rotation. Soccer fans can participate in casual games on resort grounds using set-up goal posts and balls and take part in themed contests throughout the event period.

Guests can also explore beyond the resort through the limited-time Curacao Futbol Culture Tour offered by Island Routes, Sandals Resorts’ excursion partner. Available in June and July, the guided experience operates Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., departing directly from the resort. The 4-hour tour includes visits to Stadion Ergilio Hato, where local athletes train; a walking tour of Willemstad with a photo stop at a mural; and a tasting at Chobolobo distillery, home to the island’s well-known liqueur. Guides share facts about Curacao’s soccer achievements, its players and local customs tied to the game’s popularity.

The resort is amplifying excitement with the Vacation Goals: Curacao Edition Sweepstakes, offering a chance to win a 5-day, 4-night stay for two at Sandals Royal Curacao, including the Curacao Futbol Culture Tour.

Beyond the festivities, Sandals Resorts continues its community work through Future Goals, a program run in partnership with the Sandals Foundation and Dutch football club AFC Ajax. The initiative, renewed through 2028, converts plastic waste and recovered fishing nets into soccer goal posts for elementary schools. Partnering with local recycler Limpi Recycling, which maintains an accessible facility for visitors, the program includes an 8-week combination of classroom activity and field training.

Future Goals has repurposed over 3,800 pounds of plastic and 2,000 square feet of ghost nets, producing more than 70 sets of goals. It now reaches approximately 2,400 students, covering 80 percent of Curacao’s primary schools. The project helps connect the island’s national enthusiasm for soccer with education and environmental awareness.
