Universal Orlando Resort has revealed a first look at the recreation of the British Ministry of Magic, the centerpiece of the new attraction Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, which will open May 22, 2025, in Universal’s Epic Universe.
Located within The Wizarding World of Harry Potter–Ministry of Magic, this new ride experience combines detailed environments from the Harry Potter books with cutting-edge ride technology to transport guests into the Ministry of Magic.
A Thrilling Ride Experience
The story unfolds as visitors witness the trial of Dolores Umbridge in the iconic halls of the wizarding government. Guests will embark on their journey from wizarding Paris, accessible via the Metro-Floo, a magical transportation method inspired by the Floo Network.
Stepping into the Ministry lobby, visitors will find themselves surrounded by intricate details, including the restored Fountain of Magical Brethren, the enchanted weather ceiling and endless rows of Ministry offices. As the adventure continues, guests will pass the Ministry Reception, glimpse Dolores Umbridge’s over-the-top pink office and encounter her house-elf, Higgledy. Boarding a first-of-its-kind omnidirectional lift, they’ll dive deeper into the Ministry to reach the trial chamber.
The omnidirectional lifts seat up to 14 guests and move in all directions—up, down, sideways—mimicking the magical lifts seen in the Harry Potter films. Once aboard, guests will join a thrilling chase as Umbridge attempts to evade her trial, navigating through the Magical Archives, the chaotic Department of Magical Creatures and the Time Room—all while dodging Death Eaters and other surprises.
Opening alongside the ride is an all-new live show, Le Cirque Arcanus, plus themed dining, retail and interactive entertainment experiences.
