Starting in May, guests sailing aboard MSC Poesia will be able to experience “Dirty Dancing: In Concert,” the live-to-film concert sensation created by Lionsgate and GEA Live, while cruising through Alaska and Canada.
The 90-minute production brings the 1980s film Dirty Dancing to life in a concert format, combining a live band, singers and dancers performing in sync with the movie playing on screen.
MSC Poesia becomes the third ship in the MSC Cruises fleet to feature Dirty Dancing: In Concert, following its debut aboard MSC World America and MSC Virtuosa, which has hosted the show during her summer sailings from Southampton, England. The concert will also continue on MSC Virtuosa during the winter season in the Southern Caribbean.
For clients sailing round-trip from Seattle will be able to enjoy multiple performances throughout their cruise, including matinee showings on sea days.

Beyond Dirty Dancing: In Concert, MSC Poesia’s summer Alaska season will feature an additional entertainment program. Highlights include:

A Newly Upgraded Ship
Ahead of her Alaska season, MSC Poesia will undergo a major upgrade, including the introduction of the MSC Yacht Club, two new specialty restaurants—Butcher’s Cut steakhouse and Kaito Sushi Bar—plus the All-Stars Sports Bar.
Guests will also find a refreshed MSC Aurea Spa, along with an enhanced gym. MSC Poesia’s inaugural Alaska season will feature 7-night itineraries from Seattle, sailing to destinations like Ketchikan, Icy Strait Hoonah, Tracy Arm, Juneau and Victoria, British Columbia.
