Explora Journeys is rolling out the red carpet for your multi-generational family clients with the special Journey Together Gathering program, with suites that interconnect, a Nautilus Club for children and teenagers and special destination experiences.

Your clients can choose from 78 interconnecting suites in three categories: Ocean Suites, Ocean Penthouses and Ocean Residences. Referred to as apartments due to their spaciousness, these categories offer dedicated bathrobes, slippers and hangers for the little ones as well as baby cribs and bed linens, blankets and baby pillows.

Explora Journeys’ Journey Together Gathering program is for clients booking a minimum of three/maximum of four suites, with one suite required to be an Ocean Penthouse or Ocean Residence. In addition, travelers with children will benefit from one under-18 in each suite sailing for free as well as complimentary transfers to the ship for all guests booked on the Journey Together Gathering program.

“Designing our Journey Together Gatherings program has been a highly collaborative process with the travel advisor community,” said Chris Austin, chief sales officer for Explora Journeys, in a press release statement. “We are proud to launch this unique program, providing a valuable opportunity to target gatherings of friends and multi-generational families.”

Explora Journeys Offers Family-dedicated Destination Experiences

Family-dedicated destination experiences, meanwhile, can include edutainment activities might such as a visit to a space center where they will be hosted by an astronaut, or a whale watching adventure with a marine biologist as guide.

While on board, the Nautilus Club, for those aged 6 to 17, features next-generation consoles such as PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, iPads and Oculus Pro as well as a foosball and multi-game table and a pool table. There’s also a wide selection of board games, and a multilingual digital library with books offering a variety of genres. Activities include art and craft play sessions, and time at the Sports Court and one of the swimming pools. Even little guests aged 3 to 5 (accompanied by a parent or guardian) can access Nautilus Club, with time slots exclusively dedicated to their age group. And the littlest ones, ages 6 to 24 months, will find age-appropriate toys in their suites.

Additionally, in partnership with the MSC Foundation, Nautilus Club offers an activity program focused on caring for the planet. These include immersive workshops and discussions on marine conservation, environmental footprint, the sustainable practices employed on board Explora Journeys’ ships, the impact of tourism and community support.

Family savings when they journey together:

  • Infants aged 6–23 months sail free of charge
  • Children aged 2–17 years can enjoy up to 50 percent off the journey fare

To benefit from this offer, infants and children need to be registered as the third or fourth guests in the same suite. (The first and second guests are not eligible, regardless of their age at time of sailing.)
