Costa Cruises has opened bookings for its 2028 World Cruise aboard the Costa Deliziosa, a 139-day journey that spans five continents and three oceans. The ship will depart from Savona, Italy, on Nov. 25, 2027, visiting 51 destinations across 29 countries, including 21 islands, before returning on April 11, 2028. A 100-day segment departing from San Francisco on Jan. 3, 2028, offers an option for travelers seeking a shorter experience without international flights.

Round the World With Costa
The sailing begins with extensive calls along the U.S. East and West Coasts, including New York, Los Angeles, Port Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale and San Diego. The itinerary features a New Year’s Eve celebration in Los Angeles before heading across the Pacific. Notably, the 2028 edition introduces Celebration Key, a new private island in the Bahamas available to Costa Cruises guests for the first time.
From the Caribbean, the ship sails west to Hawaii, where guests will discover natural landmarks such as craters, lava tubes and waterfalls in Hilo and explore the energy of Honolulu and Waikiki. Stops in Oceania include Suva, Fiji; Apia, Samoa; and multiple destinations in New Zealand, including Tauranga, Auckland and the Bay of Islands. In Australia, two days in Sydney provide time to experience the harbor and city skyline.
Asia offers a distinct shift in scenery with a 2-day stay in Tokyo, followed by calls in South Korea, Hong Kong, Langkawi, Malaysia and Phuket, Thailand. The route continues through the Indian Ocean, with visits to Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Mauritius, before following the southern coast of Africa, with stops in Durban, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Walvis Bay and Cape Verde. The ship returns to Europe via the Canary Islands, Barcelona and Marseille before concluding in Savona.
The cruise includes multi-day overland tours allowing deeper exploration in regions such as Japan, New Zealand and southern Africa. On board, Costa Deliziosa features Murano glass accents, open decks named after flowers and bright guestrooms with detailed finishes. Dining options include themed and gourmet restaurants, while entertainment ranges from live music to theatrical performances.
