If your clients have been to Martinique’s Club Med Buccaneer’s Creek before, you will want to book them again by year’s end: this fall, the resort will undergo a top-to-bottom renovation that will include guestrooms, reception area, the main restaurant and bar, and will be ready to welcome guests to enjoy its new “look” by the end of the year.
The resort originally opened in 1969, and it was the first Club Med village in the Americas and the first of its kind on the island. It’s located in the coconut groves facing Diamond Rock, and the verdant grounds honor Marinique’s nickname, Island of Flowers.
Club Med Buccaneer’s Creek is Stepping Up
Club Med has been upscaling the brand globally—refurbishing its Martinique property is just one more important step in that process. Your clients can expect a completely new look in all 139 guestrooms, including new furniture, fabrics, curtains and decorative lighting. The bathrooms will also get a total re-do.
The upgrades will be evident as soon as they arrive in the reception area, which will turn into a welcoming lounge area with wood furnishings and bright, tropical decor. The main restaurant, Pays Meles, will have a new open-air layout and decor, plus two private dining rooms with an ocean view. The main bar, The Madou, will have a new outdoor terrace with new furnishings.
The resort is known for its watersports and all that is still on tap for your outdoor-loving clients: there’s plenty of paddleboarding, waterskiing, kayaking and windsurfing to be had in these gorgeous Caribbean waters. Do they prefer to stay on land? Book them an off-road vehicle to head out and explore the beauty of Martinique.
