andBeyond has created a walk on the wild side to a fourth continent with partner Quark Expeditions in their new endeavor, A Taste of the Wild Life; A Masterclass with Kris Tompkins. Tompkins is president and co-founder of Tompkins Conservation, an American conservationist, and former CEO of Patagonia, Inc.

The voyage is an 18-night land and sea adventure that takes them through the landscapes of Chile, Argentina and the Antarctic Circle with the conservationist, giving them up close and personal looks at the wildlife and an opportunity to view some of the events described in Tompkins’ documentary “A Wild Life,” the story of her and her husband’s contributions towards nature conservation in South America. Your clients will also enjoy a documentary screening followed by a Q&A with Tompkins.

The Masterclass begins in Chilean Patagonia at the Torres del Paine National Park, where your clients can participate in the Cerro Guido Foundation’s wildlife conservation effects (think puma), staying at the Estancia Cerra Guido. A scenic overland excursion through Torres del Paine, horseback riding, fishing, tours of an authentic Patagonian ranch and more are on tap. Once the tour leaves Patagonia, it moves to Cape Forward and its mountains, glaciers and forest, then Ushuaia, where they’ll board a polar-capable vessel to sail the Beagle Channel and its amazing landscapes before hitting the Southern Ocean. They’ll hang out there for three days, enjoying a scenic flight, hopping onto Zodiacs, hiking, sea kayaking, standup-paddleboarding and more for a deeper exploration of the incredible surroundings. The Antarctic Peninsula is next with its unique adventures, including whale watching and looking for leopard seals. If conditions allow, the group will cross the Antarctic Circle to see the midnight sun. The return is via the Drake Passage, during which time your clients will have the chance to spend more time with Tompkins and the Expedition team onboard the vessel.

A Taste of the Wild Life: A Masterclass with Kris Tompkins is available from Feb. 25 to March 15, 2025, with a minimum of eight guests and with a maximum of 14 guests. A portion of the itinerary includes a group contribution to the Tompkins Conservation Project Fund at Re:Wild.
