Victory Cruise Lines recently announced that its first two itineraries since joining American Queen Steamboat Company will include cruising on all five Great Lakes and the Canadian Maritimes.

Victory Cruise Lines will begin its upcoming season this May with a 10-day sailing on M/V Victory I between Toronto and Chicago and a 10-day sailing on M/V Victory II between Montreal and Detroit. Both small ships have been designed to cruise along the coastlines through scenic seaways and inland lakes while navigating lesser-known harbors and more remote ports of call. Included shore excursions will also provide guests with opportunities to immerse themselves in the history and culture of the Great Lakes region.

“Our goal with Victory Cruise Lines is to deliver a small ship experience with the same authenticity and passion for service that exists with our luxurious riverboat fleet,” said John Waggoner, chairman and CEO of American Queen Steamboat Company, in press materials. “We look forward to bringing our award-winning experience to these northern waters and celebrating the beauty of this bountiful region.”

The Great Lakes Grand Discovery itinerary will sail the Georgian Bay aboard the M/V Victory I with departure dates scheduled for May 13, 22, 31; June 9, 27; Aug. 11, 20, 29; and Oct. 4 and 13, 2019. Sailings will embark or disembark in Toronto with ports of call in Port Colborne, Niagara Falls; Cleveland, Ohio; Detroit, Michigan; Sault Saint Marie, Michigan; Little Current, Manitoulin Island (Ontario, Canada); and Mackinac Island, Michigan; concluding in Chicago, Illinois.

The French Canada and Great Lakes itinerary will showcase the French-Canadian countryside, as well as the St. Lawrence River onto Lake Ontario and Lake Erie while sailing aboard the M/V Victory II. Guests will cruise the Thousand Islands corridor, tour Kingston’s preserved Gothic cathedrals and explore the region’s many historical monuments. The M/V Victory II will embark or disembark and overnight in Montreal, Quebec with ports of call in Quebec City, Quebec; Kingston, Ontario; Toronto, Ontario; Port Weller/Niagara Falls; Cleveland, Ohio and Detroit, Michigan.

Rates for these itineraries start at $6,385 pp dbl. For more information, visit victorycruiselines.com. American Queen Steamboat Company has also launched a year-round discount program for travel advisors; get the details here.
