In an effort to help travel advisors get the firsthand experience that will help close their sales on an American Queen Steamboat Company itinerary, the cruise line has launched a new travel agent discounted rate program.
Available on voyages year round, the discounted rate program allows travel advisors to hop on any American Queen Steamboat sailing for $125 pp dbl per night or $250 pp sgl per night. In order to participate, advisors must be a Steamboat Academy-certified agent and hold a valid IATA or CLIA card. They must also join the program within 45 days of their chosen sail date by applying through the online Travel Agent Portal. Once their request is approved and a booking is made, full payment is due within three business days.
Although advisors must usually apply within 45 days of a sailing, American Queen Steamboat Company is allowing advisors to make last minute plans to join on either the Roundtrip New Orleans itinerary departing Jan. 3, 2019 or the New Orleans to Memphis sailing departing Jan. 7, 2019.
