Switzerland Week Returns With Savings and a Trip Giveaway

Railbookers has brought back Switzerland Week, a weeklong promotion running now through August 1 that combines discounted rail vacations with a trip giveaway and an incentive for bookings made during the sale.

“Switzerland continues to be our most in-demand rail vacation destination, and Switzerland Week captures everything about this amazing country that entices guests from across the world,” said Jim Marini, Senior Vice President for Strategic Partnerships, in a press statement. “With so many opportunities for scenic rail and sightseeing, countless cities and villages to visit, and more, it’s no wonder more travel agents and customers are turning to Railbookers to create their individual, bucket-list Switzerland vacation with one phone call.”

Now in its second year, the promotion offers savings of up to $500 per couple on Switzerland trips booked for travel in 2027 and 2028. The sale ends on Swiss National Day, August 1.

Railbookers is also partnering again with Travel Switzerland on a social media contest giving away a trip for two on the company’s The Best of Switzerland itinerary. That giveaway stays open through Sunday, August 2.

Throughout the week, Railbookers plans to post Switzerland-themed content on its social media channels alongside material aimed specifically at the trade. Three live webinars are scheduled for July 28, 29 and 30. Bookings made on Switzerland itineraries of seven nights or more during the promotion come with a $25 gift card per booking.

Switzerland remains Railbookers’ most requested rail destination, and the company points to an expanded lineup of panoramic trains, hotels in both major cities and smaller villages, and sightseeing options as reasons the country keeps drawing repeat interest.

Railbookers works with Swiss Travel System AG to give travelers access to the country’s rail network, including seats on the Glacier Express, Bernina Express, Gotthard Panorama Express and GoldenPass Express. Itineraries are built around these scenic routes along with selected hotels and guided sightseeing, and each trip can be adjusted to fit a traveler’s pace and interests rather than following a fixed group schedule.

The structure of the sale, gift card incentive and webinar schedule gives a clear window for positioning Switzerland itineraries this summer, particularly for clients already weighing 2027 or 2028 European rail trips.
