Off the Map Travel is taking advantage of summer’s increased hours of sunshine and opportunities to explore the great outdoors of Swedish Lapland by launching a new glamping itinerary.

Designed for families and guests of all ages, the new All-Day Swedish Summer Sun itinerary take guests on a glamping adventure in the Rane River Valley on the coast of Northern Sweden, where they can go kayaking, fishing, boating, river rafting, hiking and more. The 4-day program begins in Lulea in Swedish Lapland. From there guests choose to travel by canoe or boat to the Aurora Safari Camp where Lavvu tents await them for check-in. The five tents are appointed with comfortable amenities, and the site includes a dining and lounge tent, as well as two bathroom cabins. Each Lavvu tent can be set up as a double, twin or family room and can sleep up to four people. A communal outdoor fireplace area is also included in the camp for guests to take in the river scenery and possibly see the Northern Lights at the end of the summer. Other highlights of the program include picnicking in the Arctic Circle and having lunch on a floating raft. The itinerary is designed to showcase the best of the forest and river settings. In addition to the daytime activities, a family treasure hunt will keep guests busy.

The program concludes with an overnight stay at the Outpost Lodge, a renovated former post office and village shop, near Storforsen Falls, the site of Europe’s largest rapids with a waterfall. Guests will get the chance to hike in the nature reserve around the falls before having lunch in the area and returning to Lulea.

“The location of the site is one of beauty and serenity. In Lulea, at the riverside glamping site, and on the Arctic Circle you’re surrounded by the sounds of wildlife and water with a dose of 20 or so hours of sunshine that will definitely keep your happy and relaxed,” said Jonny Cooper, founder of Off the Map Travel, in press materials.

Off the Map Travel’s All-Day Swedish Summer Sun program is offered from May through September. Although the itinerary can be tailored to each guest, an example 5-night, 4-day itinerary with Off the Map Travel is priced from $2,824 per adult and $2,067 per child ages 3-11 in a private tent for four people, and in a suite at the Outpost Lodge. All meals, activities, and accommodations are included in this rate.
