Selara Africa launches today with teams in North America and Africa, offering tailor-made journeys and signature experiences across the continent. The company says its model is designed to give advisors greater confidence when selling Africa while keeping them at the center of the client relationship.
“Travel advisors don’t need another supplier; they need a partner who is genuinely invested in their success,” said Sherwin Banda, President of Selara Africa, in a press statement. “That’s why we created Selara Africa—to bring the expertise and support of teams in North America and Africa, while always keeping the advisor at the center of the client relationship. Their clients remain their clients, as we work behind the scenes to help advisors sell Africa with confidence.”
To mark its North American launch, Selara Africa is offering advisors an additional incentive of up to 2 percent on qualifying production booked through March 31, 2027. The incentive applies to total qualifying production once the corresponding threshold is reached and is earned in addition to Selara Africa’s standard commission structure.
Selara Africa is also offering commissions of up to 15 percent, paid in the month of client departure, along with behind-the-scenes support throughout the client journey, destination education, marketing resources and opportunities for advisors to experience Africa firsthand.
An Africa Specialist Built Around Advisors
Selara Africa’s initial portfolio covers Botswana, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania and Egypt, with additional destinations and small-group departures in the pipeline.
Selara Africa was founded by a team with decades of experience living, working and investing across the continent. With a majority of its team based in Africa, the company will connect advisors with its network of in-country partners while managing local relationships and logistics behind the scenes.
The advisor-only model is designed to give travel professionals access to firsthand destination expertise while allowing them to maintain ownership of the client relationship.
The company will create tailor-made itineraries and signature experiences, with its Africa-based team providing local knowledge and managing in-country partners and logistics on behalf of advisors.
