Riviera Travel River Cruises has opened 2028 bookings for five of its top-selling river itineraries, giving North American travelers first access to routes along the Douro, Danube, Rhine and Rhone rivers ahead of other markets. The early launch brings wider cabin availability, more departure dates and savings of up to 50 percent off original fares.
“The decision to open 2028 sales early comes in response to an unprecedented demand from U.S. travelers,” said Stuart Milan, president of North America for Riviera Travel, in a press statement. “In under two years, we’ve expanded into the North American market and created a product that guests trust and are excited to be a part of.”
Riviera Travel: More Itineraries, More Savings
The five itineraries now open for early booking include:
- Highlights of the Douro Valley & Salamanca, an 8-day cruise with nine complimentary excursions, including a stop in Guimaraes, the birthplace of Portugal, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Originally priced from $6,499 per person, the fare now starts at $3,249 per person.
- The Blue Danube, an 8-day sailing through Salzburg and Vienna with nine complimentary excursions and stops at historic basilicas and cultural landmarks. Originally priced from $5,099 per person, the fare now starts at $2,549 per person.
- The Douro, Porto & Salamanca, an 8-day itinerary beginning in Porto, home of Port wine, with 10 included excursions through villages and medieval towns. Originally priced from $5,799 per person, the fare now starts at $2,899 per person.
- Rhine Cruise to Switzerland, featuring 10 complimentary excursions, including passage through the Rhine Gorge and a rail journey into the Bernese Oberland. Originally priced from $6,699 per person, the fare now starts at $3,349 per person.
- Burgundy, the River Rhone & Provence, an 8-day itinerary with 11 included excursions through winelands, including a visit to the Ardeche Gorges. Originally priced from $5,399 per person, the fare now starts at $2,699 per person.
Riviera Travel River Cruises also recently launched its newest five-star vessel, Riviera Resplendence, now sailing the Danube and Rhine rivers with 18 itineraries built around the line’s split-level cabin design. A second Radiance-class ship, Riviera Reflection, is set to debut on the Danube in 2027.
