From forest bathing in Provence to cryotherapy in Singapore, a new wave of hotels is placing wellness at the center of the guest experience. Across global destinations, properties are investing in spa expansions, longevity treatments and nature-driven programming—signaling a broader shift toward restorative, experience-led travel.

Coquillade Provence, the 69-room resort set within an 11th-century hamlet overlooking the Luberon Regional Natural Park, has reopened for the season with an expanded focus on wellness.

The 21,500-square-foot Coquillade Spa introduces new programs in collaboration with myBlend, alongside existing Tata Harper treatments and the property’s vinotherapy and lavender-based rituals. Seasonal offerings include forest bathing, outdoor breathwork, vineyard-based movement sessions and recovery-focused treatments. 

Family wellness is integrated through a new Provencal Apothecary program, featuring botanical walks, herbal workshops and calming evening rituals rooted in local traditions. Active experiences include cycling, hiking, tennis and trails, with guided “Ride the Luberon” routes and Tour de France–inspired programming.

Wine and gastronomy remain central, with organic wines from Domaine de la Coquillade and dining concepts ranging from sharing-style Provencal cuisine to Italian fare. Guests can also enjoy vineyard picnics, private dining and seasonal events.

Escape in The Nest

Glenapp Castle, the 21-bedroom Relais & Chateaux property on Scotland’s southwest coast, is set to open The Nest, a standalone suite designed for private, wellness-focused stays.

The Nest—also referred to as the Garden Cottage Suite—was created through the renovation of a former tearoom and features a large king-size bed, separate sitting area, a sofa bed, private outdoor terrace and flexible sleeping arrangements for couples or small groups.

The Nest includes a sauna and a natural barrel cold plunge tub. Guests staying in The Nest will have access to the castle’s full range of amenities, including dining, in-room treatments and outdoor activities. The suite is also pet-friendly.

A New Wellness Playground

Wellness-Focused Getaway in Vietnam

Fusion Hotel Group has expanded its wellness portfolio in Southeast Asia with the opening of Grand Royal Riverside Hue – Fusion Collection, a luxury riverside hotel in central Vietnam. The new property is located on the southern bank of the Huong River near and features 161 guestrooms.

Venice, But Make It Wellness

JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa, part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, has reopened for the season, bringing a renewed focus on wellness, sustainability and immersive experiences for guests.

The resort’s reopening coincides with a milestone for its gourmet restaurant, Agli Amici Dopolavoro, which earned its first Michelin Star in the 2026 Guide. The restaurant emphasizes sustainable, regionally inspired cuisine with dishes that draw on the island’s garden produce, fish and wild herbs. 

Wellness remains central to the island retreat. The JW Venice Spa features eight treatment rooms overlooking the lagoon, a dedicated suite, sauna and bio-sauna, hammam and a heated indoor pool. Guests can enjoy yoga and fitness sessions, lagoon excursions and suites with private pools and gardens. The property also debuted the JW Academy Padel Club, the first official padel academy within a Venetian hotel, featuring private lessons, group clinics and programs for children aged 4–12.

lebua Bangkok in Thailand is embarking on a comprehensive renovation through 2027. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the hotel is rolling out redesigned suites, reimagined wellness and leisure spaces and upgraded culinary venues.

Upgrades include a revitalized swimming pool, an expanded Technogym-equipped fitness center and a signature spa and salon.

Culinary offerings are also aligned with this wellness focus. Les Marchands, which replaces Cafe Mozu, provides all-day dining in a modern indoor-outdoor rooftop setting, featuring fresh, balanced cuisine designed to support both nutrition and social engagement.
