Paul Gauguin Cruises And Ponant Add Tahiti Credit Offer

Paul Gauguin Cruises and PONANT EXPLORATIONS have introduced a joint shipboard credit promotion for guests booking French Polynesia voyages in 2026 and 2027. The offer, called Tempting Tahiti, applies to every sailing aboard the m/s Paul Gauguin and select voyages of Le Jacques Cartier, giving travelers access to all five archipelagos of French Polynesia through the two ships’ complementary itineraries: the Society Islands, Tuamotus, Marquesas, Gambier and Austral Islands.

Guests who book a double-occupancy stateroom or suite on eligible sailings receive $1,000 in onboard credit. Bookings must be made and deposited by October 31, 2026, using promo code TEMPTAH. Travel sellers who submit an eligible reservation by that date receive a $500 gift card for a double-occupancy booking or $250 for a single-occupancy booking.

“French Polynesia has long been at the heart of Paul Gauguin Cruises and our deep connection to the destination allows us to share its culture, people and extraordinary landscapes with travelers in an authentic way,” said Sam Chamberlain, CEO Americas for Paul Gauguin Cruises and PONANT EXPLORATIONS, in a press statement. “With The Gauguin and now Le Jacques Cartier, we bring together two distinct experiences in French Polynesia, from immersive cultural experiences in the islands we know so well to expedition-style journeys that reach the least explored corners of the South Pacific. The Tempting Tahiti offer provides the perfect opportunity to discover the remarkable diversity of this extraordinary destination.”

The shipboard credit can be applied to spa treatments, boutique purchases and selections from the Connoisseur Wine List on both ships. On the m/s Paul Gauguin, guests may also put it toward shore excursions.

Built to navigate the shallow lagoons of the South Pacific, the m/s Paul Gauguin sails year-round from Papeete, Tahiti, on voyages of seven to 14 nights through the Society Islands, Tuamotus and Marquesas, with some itineraries extending to the Cook Islands, Fiji and Bali. Extended port stays and overnight calls are paired with the onboard presence of Les Gauguins and Les Gauguines, a troupe of Tahitian ambassadors who live aboard to share their culture with guests.

Le Jacques Cartier begins its French Polynesia voyages in October 2026, bringing PONANT EXPLORATIONS’ expedition style to the region with 14-night itineraries that reach beyond the main islands into the remote Gambier and Austral archipelagos. Stops include Aukena and Rikitea in the Gambiers, along with Rapa, Raivavae, Tubuai and Rurutu in the Australs, ports that few ships are able to reach.
