Hyatt and Portuguese real estate developer Coporgest have agreed to develop, brand and operate Park Hyatt Comporta and Park Hyatt Comporta Residences, marking the Park Hyatt brand’s debut in Portugal.
The property is expected to open in 2029 in Comporta, a coastal destination in Portugal’s Alentejo region. Located less than an hour from Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport, Park Hyatt Comporta will expand the luxury brand’s presence in Europe while bringing it to one of Portugal’s emerging leisure destinations.

Current plans call for 58 guestrooms and suites, six two-bedroom private villas and 22 residences with access to the hotel’s amenities and services.
The resort is also expected to feature swimming pools, a wellness space and fitness center, padel court, kids’ club and several restaurants.
Golf will be another draw, with the property located adjacent to Troia Golf Course and approximately 20 minutes from four additional courses. The 18-hole, par-72 Troia course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and sits alongside the beach with views of the Arrabida Mountains.

Park Hyatt Comporta will join the brand’s European portfolio, which includes properties in destinations such as Paris, London, Milan, Vienna, Zurich, Marrakech and Istanbul.
The development comes as Park Hyatt continues to expand its global portfolio. Upcoming properties include Park Hyatt Phu Quoc and Park Hyatt Riviera Maya, followed by Park Hyatt Mexico City, Park Hyatt Vancouver and Park Hyatt Taormina.
