Myrtle Beach’s iconic Sea Mist Oceanfront Resort is donning a new look “just in time for the season,” says Kurt Furlong, Genuine Hospitality CRO and partner, in a press release statement.

“The Sea Mist has been a Myrtle Beach icon for more than four decades, welcoming generations of guests for a memorable beach getaway…. We’re thrilled to bring it into our management portfolio and ensure the Sea Mist’s status as a long-time local treasure,” added Furlong.

Now under St. Louis-based hotel operator Genuine Hospitality, LLC, Sea Mist is welcoming the summer with refreshed guestrooms as well as other enhancements. Situated in the destination’s storied Grand Strand district, the beachfront resort sits on nearly 16 acres, with direct access to Myrtle Beach’s 60 miles of uninterrupted Atlantic shoreline.

Guests will find 359 standard oceanfront and oceanview guest rooms as well as 63 suites (some with kitchen facilities), five outdoor and one indoor pool, the Wahoo Waterpark—the largest in Myrtle Beach and exclusive to resort guests only—with a lazy river and 3-story-high slide, and access to several eateries, including an onsite “grab and go” market, Rita’s Ice for sweet treats and the Pan American Pancake House. For the latter, the resort is offering a Bed & Breakfast package that includes a breakfast credit at the restaurant.

Exploring Myrtle Beach

Exploring beyond the resort, guests can go horseback riding, on helicopter rides, dolphin tours and fishing excursions. And the resort is just two minutes from Myrtle Beach International Airport.
