The Marlin Hotel, located in Miami’s trendy South Beach neighborhood, is currently undergoing a major makeover that will touch on everything from the guestrooms to the lobby, and once complete guests will even have access to a new pool. The renovations are expected to be completed by August 2016, so keep in mind for guests currently booking at the property, that there might be some work being done during their stay (the rooftop pool and cabana area isn’t expected to be completed until 2017 as part of the last phase of the overhaul). That said, the atmosphere and ambiance of the centrally located property is not interrupted.
This boutique property currently features 14 guestrooms, but after the completion of phase two of the makeover that number will jump to 32 guestrooms ranging from 240 to 550 sq. ft. The colors in each guestroom, which are spacious enough for a family of four to fit comfortably, range from coral to yellow, turquoise, navy and light green. For instance, the Deluxe King Suite features a large king bed, a writing desk, and a comfy sofa lounge seat that can easily fit two children. The room also has plenty of storage space for guests to hang their clothes so they’re not living out of their suitcase, and there are also two flat-screen TVs and essentials guests can use during their stay such as a straw beach bag, a flat hair iron, and makeup remover. These small details give guests the feeling that they are staying at their home away from home.
Guests can relax and dine in the modern on-property restaurant, Bazi, which serves Japanese and Chinese fusion dishes. The deep-red hues, gold accents, candle light and leather details transport guests to an Asian experience right in the center of South Beach.
Though the property isn’t located directly on the beach, a 2-block walk is all it takes for guests to dip their toes in the sand. Plus, guests and families traveling with their four-legged family members can have them join in on the fun, as pets up to 20 lbs. are welcomed at The Marlin.
