Metropolitan by COMO opened in Miami Beach in 2014 as the first COMO property in the U.S. Recommend recently stopped by to check out what this five-star, ultra-luxury boutique property, which was once known as the Traymore hotel, has to offer your clients. Here’s a peek at the Metropolitan by COMO, Miami Beach.

The four pillars of the brand—wellness, design, culture, and cuisine—are all evident in the design of the hotel, the offerings for guests, and in the tasty menu options at the Traymore Restaurant. This intimate, 9-story property consists of 74 guestrooms—11 City View Rooms, 20 Metropolitan Rooms, 21 Metropolitan Rooms with Balcony, 11 Metropolitan Ocean View Rooms, five Lake View Suites, five Ocean View Suites and one COMO Suite—with views of both the ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. The rooms are airy in their design, with a clean white palette and pops of colors. Many of the property’s original architecture, such as the columns and water fountain in the lobby, as well as the flooring are from the original design.

Guests staying at the property can enjoy the Traymore Restaurant and Bar, which serves seafood cuisine; a pool; a rooftop hydrotherapy pool; a steam room; a gym; and beachside services; plus activities such as boat trips on the Intracoastal Waterway, culinary tours, kitesurfing, paddleboarding, and bike rides. This is the Miami Beach hotel for those guests who are looking for a little more rest and relaxation. It’s the anti-South Beach hotel—there will never be wristbands, velvet ropes, or a blocked off pool for a private event. That said, it’s close enough to South Beach and all the action for those who are interested. Those looking for a little more rest and relaxation during their vacation can sign up for the COMO Shambhala experience, a staple for COMO Hotels and Resorts properties worldwide. The COMO Shambhala Urban Escape at the Miami Beach property offers Asian-based therapies for both the body and face.
