Last week, Recommend’s Associate Editor headed to Miami Beach for a tour of the recently renovated Circa 39 boutique hotel, located on 3900 Collins Ave. This charming, travel-inspired hotel won us over with its subtle details and modern decor. Take a virtual tour through our snapshots of this quaint escape by the beach.
As you walk into Circa 39, the bright colors of the lobby area, and very lively, travel-inspired WunderBar catches your attention. Just to the left, Jules Kitchen invites guests for a cozy spot to sit for a bite to eat. The hotel is located just one block from the beach, and provides guests with beachside lounge chairs—at no additional cost. That’s a hot commodity to get in Miami Beach.
The boutique hotel features 97 renovated guestrooms offering one king bed or two double beds, modern bathrooms featuring green and white decor, glass shower enclosures, bathrobes, hairdryers, and Aveda bath products. Guests also enjoy WiFi, flat screen TVs, mini-refridgerators in room, coffee makers, a safe, and beach towels. For families or groups traveling together, connecting rooms or a one-bedroom suite are the perfect solution to keep everyone close by.
Circa 39’s pool and sundeck feature cozy, chic cabanas and lounge chairs. For those looking to relax away from the pool, the courtyard also offers a quiet spot for reading or enjoying a cocktail with comfortable seating, such as benches and swing chaises surrounded by lots of greenery. Guests will feel like they’re sitting in the middle of their own tropical oasis.
The property also features a fitness room, as well as the WunderBar and Jules Kitchen, which serves global comfort food with a twist. WunderBar serves up craft cocktail creations, boutique wines, local beers and light bites.
Self-parking is available on a marked lot for Circa 39, located on 39th street. Overnight parking is $25 inclusive. Rates start at $119 per night. For more information, call (305) 538-4900 or visit circa39.com.
