Eye on the World: Haven Riviera Cancun

Haven Riviera Cancun, a new property located about 15 minutes from Cancun International Airport just opened. Recommend had the opportunity to stay at the property during the soft opening in early October for the grand opening celebration that kicked-off the Cancun Travel Mart. The property’s official opening is November 1, 2018.

This “all-exclusive” property focuses on wellness, and during our stay we had the opportunity to experience a tea reading, yoga, a massage and facial combo, a bio magnetic wellness assessment of our overall health, and a reiki session. When they say they offer wellness, they’re not just referring to a few workout sessions offered and some massages, they mean a full mind, body, and soul take when it comes to the guest’s wellbeing. I can say that I left Haven Riviera Cancun with new outlook on my health and ideas of new techniques to incorporate once I got back home. Keep your eyes out for the November issue of Recommend, where we feature this property and dive in to more details about everything it offers in the wellness realm. Those clients who are looking for relaxation, an extra push to get started, or even those who just want to dabble with wellness and see what it’s all about would greatly enjoy a stay at Haven Riviera Cancun.

The guestrooms have ample space, and even a box in each room that opens to the hallway where your butler can leave your room service without having to interrupt your state of bliss. The box connects to the inside of your guestroom where you can pickup what was left. And, the swim-out suite is the ideal spot to hideaway after a massage and continue focusing on yourself.

Relaxation wasn’t the only thing on the agenda. During our stay we also had the opportunity to experience Xoximilco, part of the Xcaret experience, where we boarded a boat for dinner on the water that was a true Mexican Fiesta complete with Mariachi stops and dancing along the sail. A more thrilling adventure was ziplinging, ATV riding and enjoying a cenote with Selvetica. Warn your clients though, they will get dirty on the ATV, but the experience is worth it. Finally, a cooking lesson in the jungle was an activity we greatly enjoyed. Mexico Lindo Cooking School is a half-day event where guests cook their meal from start to finish along with a professional chef with tips and recipes they can take home to recreate the experience. Set in the middle of the jungle, this experience will feed their bellies as much as their soul with the peaceful surroundings.
