Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has launched its latest course educating travel advisors on what’s new for Uniworld in 2021.

The course is offered by Uniworld University, the agent training program of the river cruise brand. It includes a new rail itinerary and more dates for the popular new Peruvian Amazon itineraries, as well as the new health and sanitation protocols that will go into affect as soon as Uniworld resumes cruising.

“Next year is already proving to be a very successful year for us. We’re seeing that our guests still want to travel, and so we want to prepare our travel advisors with the most comprehensive tools to stay up-to-date with our offerings,” said Ellen Bettridge, president & CEO of Uniworld, in a press release statement. “Every year, we focus on elevating the standards of the river cruising industry, and in 2021 we are not only bringing new itineraries and destinations, but we’re also introducing an entirely new way to travel with Uniworld. Our advisors are such an imperative part of our business, and we want to ensure that they understand Uniworld’s points of difference and all of the exciting things to come for our brand.”

Highlights for 2021 include Cruise and Rail itineraries to Milan, Venice and the Swiss Alps. Uniworld has partnered with The Golden Eagle Danube Express to complement a cruise aboard the S.S. La Venezia with a luxury train trip, debuting July 30, 2021.

The Classic Germany & Amsterdam itinerary debuts on April 30, 2021 with an 8-day sailing from Amsterdam to Nuremberg on the River Princess. The itinerary includes offshore excursions such as a treetop hike at Steigerwald Nature Reserve in Bamberg and a hike to Festund Marienberg, perched on a hilltop high above the city of Würzburg.

The 15-day Rhine, Main & Danube Discovery itinerary debuts on April 30, 2021 and sails from Amsterdam to Vienna on the River Princess. Guests will cruise the most scenic parts of the three rivers and sample local specialties such as crisp Rieslings and brandy spiked Rüdesheimer coffee.

Also new for 2021, due to high demand, are additional itineraries for the recently launched Peruvian Amazon sailing. On the 15-day Peruvian Amazon & Machu Picchu Exploration guests spend seven nights onboard the Aria Amazon, dine on five-star cuisine sourced fresh from the rainforest, and stay in one of just 16 suites onboard, each with floor-to-ceiling windows.

The completion of this 15-30 minute course is required for advisors to continue qualifying for Uniworld River Cruise Specialist benefits. After completing the course, graduates can enjoy Special Travel Advisor rates discounted up to 60%, a River Cruise Specialist Email Badge, and inclusion in the River Cruise Specialist directory on Uniworld’s US and Canada websites.

Travel Advisors can access all courses from Litmos, the educational platform from TTC Agent Academy, which now offers a mobile app, SAP Litmos, to be used on phones or iPads. Travel Advisors must enter thetravelcorporation.litmos.com once downloaded. Advisors can also earn continuing education credits with Uniworld University through CLIA and The Travel Institute.
