Aurora Expeditions has added four new expeditions and seven Ultimate Adventure voyages to its 2025 Arctic & Beyond season lineup. All will be aboard its new purpose-built small expedition ships, the Greg Mortimer and the Sylvia Earle.

Aurora Expeditions’ 2025 Season Surprises

The tour operator’s new season includes exploration of the east, south, west and northwest coasts of Greenland, Svalbard, Norway, Iceland and Canda’s High Arctic via the Northwest Passage. It also includes voyages to other destinations, such as Costa Rica and the British Isles. The 2025 season will also introduce included charter flights from Oslo to Longyearbyen, shorter itineraries and longer Ultimate Adventure voyages.

Among the new expeditions is Spitsbergen: Realm of the Ice Bear, departing June 16-23, 2025, aboard the Greg Mortimer, which heads to the largest island of the Svalbard archipelago, slicing through pack ice and sailing along the fjords; Iceland’s Westfjords & North Coast, from July 28 – Aug. 5, 2025, aboard the Sylvia Earle, which heads to one of the most remote and pristine regions in Iceland; Southern Greenland: On the Trail of the Vikings, from Aug. 2-17, 2025, aboard the Sylvia Earle, which will take clients on Zodiac cruises along fjords, sail around Prince Christian Sound and visit the Viking ruins of Erik the Red in Hvalsey; and the Wild Landscapes of West Greenland from Aug. 15-29, 2025, also on the Sylvia Earle, which heads to the northernmost capital in the world, Nuuk, pushes through sea ice to head even further north to explore hidden bays where they could possible encounter whales.

There are also seven new Ultimate Adventures, consecutive itineraries that maximize exploration time, offer more experiences and throw in added value savings for good measure. Examples include the 20-day Wild Svalbard, Greenland & Iceland, the 23-day Arctic Wonders: Iceland & Spitsbergen, the 26-day Greenland in Depth and the 26-day Northern Isles: Scotland & Iceland.
