Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is spending $107 million to renovate the Borgata Tower, with construction starting Sept. 13 and guestrooms opening floor by floor beginning in October 2026. The scope covers every guestroom and suite in the tower, its corridors and its main lobby, known as The Living Room.
Avenue Interior Design is handling the project. The firm is a longtime collaborator with Borgata and previously designed the tower’s existing layout, the MGM Tower remodel and the B Bar transformation at the property.
“The reimagining of the Borgata Tower is the latest step in our broader investment across the property as we continue to enhance the overall guest experience,” said Nik Rytterstrom, President & COO, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, said in a press statement. “As one of the most important touchpoints within the resort, this reinvestment gives us the opportunity to thoughtfully evolve the Borgata Tower for today’s guests, with a design that stays true to the sophistication and energy of the property, while introducing a fresh and elevated sense of comfort that still feels distinctly Borgata.”
Borgata: Italian-Inspired Upgrades
The redesign is based on modern Italian design and tailoring references, with a material palette of warm woods, camel and cognac tones, cream, deep blue and burnished metals. Guestrooms and suites will include upholstered headboards, custom woodwork, integrated metal detailing and sculptural furnishings. Furniture and lighting placement is oriented toward the tower’s Atlantic City views.
Corridors and elevator lobbies will get new colors, artwork and graphic patterns, including a carpet based on an abstract interpretation of Italian mosaic design. The Living Room will retain its current architecture but receive new furnishings and finishes. The guestroom rollout will proceed floor by floor starting in October 2026, and the tower renovation is part of a wider property-wide transformation at Borgata scheduled to continue into 2027.
