Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection adds a new itinerary sailing from New Delhi to Kolkata, India’s Golden Triangle & the Sacred Ganges, debuting January 2016.

The 12-night itinerary includes seven nights on board the Ganges Voyager II, and for the 5-night land portion of the itinerary, guests will stay at the Oberoi Hotels and Resorts Collection, which includes The Oberoi, New Delhi; The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra; and The Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur.

During this voyage, guests will visit Delhi; the Taj Mahal; the bazaars, fortresses, and palaces of Rajasthan’s Pink City of Jaipur; Mother Teresa’s tomb and former home in Kolkata; a Vedic temple in Mayapur; and garden tombs and mosques. Throughout the trip, there will be visits to UNESCO World Heritage sites including Delhi’s Red Fort and Humayun’s Tomb, and Jaipur’s Jantar Mantar. Uniworld will also offer a 2-night extended option to Varanasi, which is considered the holiest spot on India’s holiest river, and one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. The extension includes a city tour, a boat ride to a Ganga Aarti fire ceremony at sunset, and a private boat ride along the river at sunrise.

The new, all-suite, Ganges Voyager II will accommodate 56 guests and feature the 400-sq.-ft.-Maharaji Suite, two 360-sq.-ft Viceroy Suites, two 280-sq.-ft. Heritage Suites, and twenty 261-sq.-ft. standard suites. Guests of the Viceroy Suites enjoy daily butler service, laundry service, and one complimentary spa treatment pp. Maharaja Suite guests receive additional amenities such as in-suite dining and scented baths in the in-suite deep-soaker tub. Guests can also take part in onboard entertainment and cultural events, enjoy 360-degree views from the observation deck, relax at the spa and fitness center, or dine at the East India Restaurant, which will feature Indian-inspired and Western cuisine.
