There are three 2024 dates for FAMTrips.travel’s Best of Kenya 8-day FAM safari: June 10-17, Nov. 7-14 and Dec. 1-8.
Prepare to have 8 adventure-filled days with stays in traditional safari lodges and a luxury tented camp, photo safaris in Aberdare National Park, the Masai Mara National Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park. Prepare to fill your Instagram feed with wildlife, including rhinos—the latter park is actually home to Kenya’s largest population of these animals, including the endangered Black Rhino.
Kenya, in fact, manages over 20 national parks that border five countries—Uganda, Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia and Tanzania—and the wildlife is plentiful. This is Big Five game country—rhinos, elephants, leopards, lions and African buffalos—as well as scads of other species. The trip begins in Nairobi, where the company can arrange for tours to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, the Giraffe Center, the Karen Blixen Museum and the Blixen Coffee Garden and/or the Kazuri Beads Factory. Accommodations are at the 5-star Sarova Stanley Hotel, the city’s first luxury property. The trip continues to the Aberdare National Park, a mountainous region known as “Scotland with Lions,” followed by Samburu to the north, a safari in Shaba National Reserve, Lake Nakuru, the Masai Mara and up Rift Valley back to Nairobi on day 8.
