Collette’s Colors of Morocco tour invites travelers to an exceptional adventure with a 3-night stay in the Sahara Desert, offering ample time to delve into the region’s rich cultural heritage and breathtaking landscapes of sun and sand.

“Our Colors of Morocco small group Explorations tour is a favorite for many travelers,” said Jaclyn Leibl-Cote, CEO at Collette, in a press release statement. “Pacing is a key aspect of this intimate journey. Expert product designers always look to make the most of travelers’ time on tour by building in several unique stops along our way through the breathtaking dunes and sandy tranquility. For example, they spend time engaging with the nomadic Berber community, learning about their ancient way of living and how it has changed over time.”

Traversing the Sahara

While traversing the Sahara, participants will also explore Khamlia, a small village where they can engage with locals and enjoy the distinctive rhythms of sub-Saharan Gnawa music. The desert journey features varied modes of transportation: guests will first travel to their tented camp in 4×4 Jeeps, and later, they’ll traverse the dunes on camelback.

Additional highlights of the tour include a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kasbah Ait-Ben-Haddou and a hands-on cooking class at a women’s cooperative in Marrakech.

Collette’s Colors of Morocco tour is available for booking with departures starting Dec. 1, 2024.
