Your clients will be thrilled to know the Cayman Islands is 100 percent open for business: as of Aug. 24, 2022, officials from the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) eased all current COVID-19 restrictions for global travelers. That means global passengers will no longer be required to be fully vaccinated, submit a declaration via TravelCayman or undergo quarantine/isolation upon arrival to the Cayman Islands.

While all restrictions have been lifted for travel, however, remind your clients to check the requirements of their destination before traveling.

The health and safety of residents and visitors alike remain a top priority for the Cayman Islands Government and CIDOT, so while travelers are on the islands, there are still some details the entities have published on their website that should be considered:

Masks
There are no government requirements to wear a mask in most public places.

However, owners or operators of certain establishments such as health care facilities or residential home care facilities may require any person visiting their establishment to wear a face covering or mask prior to entry.

Public Gatherings
There are no government requirements or limits on public gatherings in the Cayman Islands.

Testing
If your clients feel sick while in the Cayman Islands, remind them it is a public health requirement to report a positive Lateral Flow Test (LFT) result.

All persons who test positive for COVID-19 by lateral flow test are encouraged to complete a PCR test to confirm their result.

Close contacts of people positive for COVID-19 can continue to live their normal lives, given they complete daily lateral flow testing.

Quarantine / Isolation
All persons who have tested positive are required to isolate for a period of no less than 7 days. There is no requirement for a person to test once isolation has been completed.
