Celestyal Discovery Returns with Expanded Suites, New Dining Options

 
 

Celestyal Discovery has officially returned to service following a major winter refit in Athens, launching its 2025 Greece and Mediterranean season. The 1,360-guest ship, part of Celestyal’s two-ship boutique fleet, set sail on March 21 on a 3-night Iconic Greek Islands cruise from Athens.

Refreshed Accommodations

The ship’s refurbishment added 47 additional cabins — 32 suites are now featured in two new categories, Junior Dream Suites, which are approximately 269 square feet with balconies and two Grand Horizon Suites. Additionally, 15 new Cosmos Cabins offer an affordable interior stateroom option.

Dining enhancements include the addition of Smoked Olive, a dedicated, complimentary venue for suite guests, featuring a la carte specialties such as roasted lamb shank and rum baba dessert. Later in the season, the ship will debut Grill Seekers, a pop-up specialty dining experience with a private bookable space inspired by regional flavors from the ship’s itinerary.

Since joining the fleet in Nov. 2023, Celestyal Discovery has undergone significant investments, including a refresh of all social spaces, an upgraded stateroom design and the introduction of Cafe Nation, as well as casual dining venues like The Pizza Oven and the poolside Greek Deli.

“This latest refit reinforces our commitment to evolving the guest experience and delivering exceptional value,” said Lee Haslett, Celestyal’s Chief Commercial Officer, in a press statement. “With new suite options and expanded premium offerings, we’re providing more choice and comfort for travelers.”

Sailing from March to November, Celestyal Discovery will offer 3- and 4-night Iconic Greek Islands cruises from Athens, visiting Mykonos, Kusadasi, Patmos, Rhodes and Santorini.All fares include meals, soft drinks, WiFi, and gratuities.
