Elite Island Resorts

Elite Island Resorts has offered travelers superb all-inclusives for almost four decades. “What makes our properties distinctive is their authenticity and quality,” says Steven Heydt, president, Elite Island Resorts. “With so many resorts to choose from in the Caribbean, our nine resorts stand out from the rest thanks to our outstanding staff, plentiful amenities, and genuine representation of each destination’s attributes. We pride ourselves on offering the most authentic product in the region. That is why we have been trademarked as ‘The Authentic Caribbean.’”

This past fall Elite Island Resorts opened the Pineapple Beach Club Antigua after an extensive renovation of the existing property. “I just sent some clients to the new Pineapple Beach Resort in Antigua,” says Susan Coulton, travel consultant, Bon Voyage Travel, “and they were delighted. This one is a budget property, yet it has a great beach, amenities, and selection of restaurants.”

Elite Island’s other resorts include St. James’s Club & Villas, The Verandah Resort & Spa, and Galley Bay Resort & Spa in Antigua; St. James’s Club Morgan Bay in St. Lucia; Long Bay Beach Club on Tortola, in the British Virgin Islands; Palm Island Resort & Spa in the Grenadines; The Club, Barbados Resort & Spa; and Los Establos Boutique Hotel in Boquete, Panama. Moreover, says Heydt, “We will be unveiling a new resort in 2018. It will be another landmark in casual, boutique elegance.”

Coulton points out that one of the reasons she likes “their products is because in Antigua alone they offer four price points. Galley Bay, for example, is such a lovely all-inclusive. Honeymooners and anniversary celebrants, in particular, always come back happy because of the level of service, the good beach, and the
fresh food.”

I have my own liaison on Elite Island Resorts’ sales force, and she goes the extra mile to get me whatever the client needs. I’ve been working with her for years.

And what might be coming further down the pike—say, in the next five years? “Elite Island Resorts will keep introducing new and exciting hotel products into the marketplace,” says Heydt. “We’re reconfiguring the resort experience to a much more individual and fulfilling nature. Regimentation will be removed, and we’ll continue to build the vacation experience on a reflection of guests’ needs.”

At the same time, Elite Island Resorts is always mindful of retail travel agents’ needs. “We have been creating demand for the Caribbean via digital and print marketing initiatives for decades,” notes Heydt. “We’ve also always striven to broaden sales opportunities for agents, and we continually enhance consumer experiences with our amazing and ever-evolving portfolio of resorts.”
