Southern Portugal & Its Regions
The itinerary begins in Lisbon before heading to Evora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its whitewashed streets, Roman history and rich culinary traditions. The visits feature some of the city’s most notable attractions, including the Chapel of Bones, São Francisco Church, and Evora Cathedral.
From Evora, advisors continue south through Portugal’s Alentejo region and into the Algarve. Highlights include the historic town of Silves, known for its Moorish heritage, and Lagos, one of the Algarve’s most popular coastal destinations.
The tour also showcases several of southern Portugal’s most iconic landscapes. Participants will visit Ponta da Piedade, where dramatic rock formations rise above the Atlantic Ocean, and Sagres, home to the fortress associated with Prince Henry the Navigator and Portugal’s Age of Discovery.
The journey continues to Cabo de São Vicente, the southwesternmost point of continental Europe.
What’s Included
The package includes airport transfers, multilingual motor coach transportation, a tour director throughout the journey, accommodations in 4-star hotels, daily breakfast, taxes and service charges, as well as admission to the Chapel of Bones, São Francisco Church, Evora Cathedral and São Vicente Fortress.
Not included are international airfare, lunches and dinners, hotel porterage, personal expenses and additional entrance fees not specified in the itinerary.
Travel advisor rates start at $1,690 per person based on double occupancy during the low season (November 2026 through March 2027). Companion rates begin at $1,790.
For high-season departures between April and October 2026, travel advisor rates start at $2,150, while companion rates begin at $2,125.
