Aurora Expeditions has introduced Aurora Advisor Advantage, a new program designed to give travel advisors additional selling tools, earlier commission payments and enhanced client benefits.
The initiative follows feedback gathered from advisors over the past year. The program includes improvements to commission timing, booking flexibility, digital sales resources and onboard inclusions aimed at helping advisors better sell the expedition cruise line’s small-ship voyages.
“Aurora Advisor Advantage reflects a simple commitment: to listen to our travel advisor partners and deliver what they need to succeed selling small ship expeditions,” said David Tanguay, Head of Global Sales at Aurora Expeditions, in a media statement.
Earlier Commissions and New Booking Flexibility
A significant change for advisors is Aurora‘s revised commission payment schedule. Eligible gross commissions will now be paid 60 days before a client’s departure, a move intended to improve advisor cash flow.
The company is also introducing a no-fee voyage transfer policy, allowing guests who have paid a deposit but can no longer travel to transfer to another Aurora Expeditions sailing departing within 36 months of their original voyage, subject to program terms.
Beginning with the 2026-27 Antarctica season, cruise fares will also include premium beverages—including spirits, cocktails, wine and beer—across the fleet, giving advisors another value-added selling point for clients.
New Advisor Hub and Future Booking Portal
Aurora has also upgraded its Travel Advisor Hub, creating a centralized resource for marketing materials, product information and sales support.
A new Dates & Rates Tool allows advisors to search live pricing across cabin categories, compare itineraries and view availability for optional activities by departure date, destination, ship, voyage length and price.
In addition, Aurora plans to launch an online booking portal that will allow advisors to reserve expeditions digitally. The company said additional details and a launch timeline will be announced at a later date.
The program also introduces Aurora Insider Rates, providing eligible advisors, along with friends and family, access to reduced-rate sailings booked within 120 days of departure, subject to availability.
